Solomon & Gloria Herbert

Solomon & Gloria Herbert are the iconic husband and wife team who for more than 30 years have published Black Meetings & Tourism, the exclusive, award winning, Travel Industry trade publication for, and about the $129+ billion African American market segment. The Herberts have been long-time, outspoken advocates for diversity, inclusion and parity in the Travel, Hospitality and Meetings Industries.

Laura Mandala

Laura Mandala is Managing Director of Mandala Research, LLC, and former VP of Research with the U.S. Travel Association.  Mandala Research, LLC is a highly regarded, U.S. based, market research firm. With their groundbreaking African American Traveler  Report  in 2010, Mandala Research remains in the forefront of substantiating and spotlighting the value of African American and Cultural Travelers. She is often quoted as saying “African American History is America’s history”.


Brenda Scott-Savage

Brenda Scott-Savage  left a successful 20 year career in Banking and Finance to have an outstanding 32 years of service in the Convention and Tourism industry with DMO’s (Destination Marketing Organizations), becoming the first African American woman to serve as President & CEO of a U.S. Convention and Visitors Bureau in Mobile, Alabama. Since retiring, Mrs. Scott Savage’s  passion and commitment have kept her actively involved in promoting community and national African American cultural projects. She has left an indelible mark on the industry and many professionals with whom she has mentored, coached and continues to inspire. 

Reginald Greene

Reginald Greene is the owner of The Institute for Applied Common Sense, LLC.  Formerly a partner in the nation’s largest minority-owned law firm, Arnelle, Hastie, McGee, Willis & Greene, he has transitioned to a small business management consultant. Greene recently published the Second Edition of Starting Your Business – The Fundamentals: A Comprehensive, Thinking Business Owners’ Guide, available on Amazon. It is his belief that teaching African Americans how to start their own businesses, followed by recycling the dollars within Black communities, is the most effective, long-term means to improve their position for economic empowerment. He currently serves as a virtual consultant to companies throughout the world.
